(This article is intended for customers that have purchased their own Dropship Hair Extension Website)

Looking to change the pricing on your hair extension store? It is really easy after you follow the step-by-step directions below. The first time it might take an extra minute but once you get the hang of it you will see how easy it is. We would like to advise it is MUCH EASIER to update your pricing on a desktop computer or laptop compared to a mobile device.

Getting Started

Log into your back office. It should be located at www.YourSiteName.com/wp-admin (make sure to change your website name). Enter your Username & Password.

Login Website

Go to Products

The products section of your website is where all your products are handled.

Products

Choose a Product

Once you click products the entire list of what you offer on your website will show up. We will next go over the (2) types of products in your store based on if they have different options.

Choose Products

Product Type 1 – Single Product

If the product price you are looking to update only has (1) length such as the Clip-In Hair Extensions then this part is for you. If you are looking to update something with multiple variations such as the Sew-In Extensions, Closures or Bundles Deals then refer to “Product Type 2” below. In this example we are going to quickly change the price of the Natural Black Clip-in Extensions.

Edit Product

Scroll down the page until you see the following portion of the page. You will see the current price of the product. In the example below you will see the price is $129.00. Change the price up or down depending on what you would like to sell it for.

Edit Price

Don’t Forget to Update the Changes! Scroll back to the top of the page. In the upper right hand corner you will see the button to “UPDATE” your changes. You must remember to click this to make your new pricing go live on your site.

Update Changes

Product Type 2 – Products with Variables

If you would like to update your products that have different variables such as Sew-in Extensions, Closures and Bundle deals you will want to follow the steps below.

Let’s update the pricing for the Deep Wave Bundle Deals product. Find the product and then click EDIT.

Edit Bundle Deal

Scroll down the page until you find the “Variable Product” section as seen below. You will notice it does not have the price there to quickly adjust like in the clip-in extension example above. This is going to take a few extra steps.

Variable Product

Next, click the “Attributes” section.

Attributes

For this example, let’s lower the price of the 12″/14″/16″ Deep Wave Bundle deal to $195. As you can see in the photo below we simply changed the price for the deal to $195. Make sure you click the “SAVE ATTRIBUTES” after making the changes. You can continue to do this to all the length options as you see fit. Then continue to the next step.

Change Price

In the same section you will want to click the “VARIATIONS” tab. You will see the one variation we changed reset (see arrow). We have to go in and make a pricing change and reset that section.

Variations

Click on the section you updated. The area will drop down and you will have more details. You need to update the “Any Length” section to the 12″/14″/16″ and then the price to $195 to match the Attributes are you set above.

Update Price and Length

Once you have made the (2) changes made your screen should look like the below screenshot.

Variations Updated

If you make any changes to the pricing the “Default Form Values” will reset. This is the length/option that is set as the default on your product page. We recommend setting it to the least expensive variation. For this example you would set it to the 12″/14″/16″ option.

Default Length

Once you have made all your updates to this section make sure you click “Save Changes” to save the updates.

Save Variations

Once you have saved the section you have to update the entire page to make all your changes go live on your site. Scroll to the top of the page and click the “UPDATE” button.

Update Changes

You can then visit your product page. Make sure to refresh it and then you will see the pricing update. Below shows you the pricing BEFORE and AFTER we made the changes.

Before and after

Once you get the hang of making the updates it will go much faster. As we mentioned earlier, making the changes on a desktop computer or Laptop is much easier than trying to do the updates on a mobile device.
